Siddaramaiah on Thursday revealed that the Congress leadership had offered to move him to the Rajya Sabha after his resignation as Chief Minister of Karnataka, but he declined the proposal as he wanted to continue in state politics.
The long-running power tussle in Karnataka appears to have reached a turning point, with senior Congress leader and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar emerging as the party leadership’s preferred choice for the Chief Minister’s post, sources told media.
