Roshan Anand was released from Beur Jail after securing bail in the coaching institute dispute linked to Khan Sir

June 15, 2026: Roshan Anand was granted bail by a Patna court on Monday in the high-profile coaching institute dispute involving educator Khan Sir. After spending 12 days in judicial custody, Anand walked out of Beur Jail and is expected to travel to Saharsa district to attend the funeral of his brother, Prince Yadav, whose death in Nepal under suspicious circumstances has added a new dimension to the ongoing controversy.

During the hearing, the defence argued that both Roshan Anand and Khan Sir belong to the education sector and that academic rivalry should not result in criminal proceedings. Senior advocate Ramakant Sharma told the court that the available evidence did not clearly establish Anand’s direct involvement in the alleged attack. The defence also questioned the FIR, claiming it focused primarily on Anand while overlooking allegations involving security guards linked to Khan Sir’s institute.

The dispute began after violence broke out at Khan Sir Coaching Institute on June 2, with allegations of assault and gunfire. Police arrested Roshan Anand, while later investigations led to the arrest of two security guards after CCTV footage surfaced. The case further intensified after Prince Yadav was found dead in a Nepal hotel under mysterious circumstances. Nepal Police are investigating the incident, while legal proceedings related to the coaching centre dispute continue to attract widespread attention across Bihar.
