AAP Confident of Big Win as Kejriwal Predicts Victory on 55+ Seats
New Delhi, February 3: With the Delhi Assembly elections just around the corner, Chief Minister Atishi took a strong stance against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing them of using intimidation tactics. During a roadshow in the Kalkaji constituency on Monday, she asserted that electoral victories are won through public trust, not threats.
Atishi’s remarks came after she shared an interaction with a local voter:
“An elderly woman told me that BJP’s ‘goons’ had come, asking her not to vote for ‘Jhaadu’ (AAP’s election symbol). She told me that she will decide for herself when she votes on February 5,” she said.
Atishi: “AAP Has the People’s Support”
Confident about AAP’s chances, Atishi stated that Arvind Kejriwal’s governance model has won the hearts of Delhiites, ensuring their electoral success.
“The enthusiasm of the people and their overwhelming presence here show their love for Arvind Kejriwal. In democracy, the power lies with the people, and we have their support. AAP will form the government with a huge margin,” she declared.
Kejriwal Predicts AAP Win in 55-60 Seats
At the Kalkaji roadshow, AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal made a bold prediction, stating that his party was on track to win at least 55 seats, with a possibility of reaching 60 if women voters mobilized strongly.
“The campaign ends at 5 PM today. I have traveled across Delhi, and I believe we are winning 55 seats. But if our mothers and sisters push harder, we can win up to 60,” Kejriwal told reporters.
He also made a direct appeal to women voters, urging them to convince male family members to support AAP.
“This election is for women. Every woman should go out and vote. Tell the men in your family that every vote must go to ‘Jhaadu’. BJP is the party of the rich, they have nothing for the common people,” he asserted.
