TVK Invites Alliance Parties To Join Vijay-Led Cabinet: Aadhav Arjuna

C Joseph Vijay and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam invited alliance partners to become part of the new cabinet in Tamil Nadu.

May 20, 2026: The ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam on Wednesday urged its alliance partners to join the cabinet led by Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay. Party general secretary and Public Works Department minister Aadhav Arjuna said the government wants leaders and parties committed to social justice to become part of the administration.

Arjuna said the chief minister has invited alliance parties including Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi and Indian Union Muslim League to join the cabinet. He added that TVK also wants the Congress party to participate in the government, while respecting the decision of Left parties to extend outside support.

According to Arjuna, Vijay believes the cabinet should function “like a family” and reflect secular and social justice values. He said alliance partners are currently holding discussions and are expected to communicate their decision to the government soon.
