New Delhi:
A new video linked to the death of Twisha Sharma has surfaced, showing the 33-year-old climbing the staircase at her marital home in Bhopal shortly before she was found dead.

The footage also captures at least three men — including her husband Samarth Singh — attempting CPR on Twisha twice before carrying her body downstairs. Her mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, is also seen in the video.

Twisha was found dead on May 12 at the couple’s residence in the Katara Hills area of Bhopal. According to police, the preliminary post-mortem report from AIIMS Bhopal indicated death due to hanging suicide.

Police have registered a case of dowry harassment and abetment to suicide against Samarth Singh and his mother Giribala Singh. While Giribala Singh has received anticipatory bail from a local court, Samarth Singh remains absconding.

The couple reportedly met through a dating app in 2024 and got married in December 2025.

SIT Formed To Probe Case

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted to investigate the allegations surrounding Twisha Sharma’s death.

Rajneesh Kashyap, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Misrod, who is leading the SIT, said efforts are underway to trace Samarth Singh.

Speaking to PTI, Kashyap said the investigation would proceed strictly based on the sections mentioned in the FIR, despite claims made in the bail application filed on behalf of Samarth Singh.

Bail Plea Claims Twisha Was Under Psychiatric Treatment

The case took another turn after details from Samarth Singh’s bail application emerged publicly. The plea alleged that Twisha Sharma struggled with drug addiction and was undergoing psychiatric treatment and counselling.

According to the application, she reportedly became irritable and experienced trembling hands when she did not have access to narcotic substances.

The petition further claimed that Twisha travelled to Delhi by flight on April 17 and remained untraceable for nearly 12 hours before reaching her parents’ home the next day.

It also alleged that her behaviour towards her in-laws changed after she became pregnant.

Investigation Continues

Police officials have not commented on the authenticity of the allegations made in the bail application and said the SIT is examining all aspects of the case.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue efforts to locate Samarth Singh and gather further evidence related to the circumstances surrounding Twisha Sharma’s death.
