June 1, 2026: Yogi Adityanath on Monday issued a stern warning against incidents of violence and crime carried out under the guise of friendship, stating that such acts would not be tolerated in Uttar Pradesh. The Chief Minister referred to a recent incident in Ghaziabad while addressing the issue.

Questioning the nature of such relationships, Yogi Adityanath said, “Friendship… what kind of friendship? You have just seen it in Ghaziabad. Stabbing someone in the name of friendship is completely unacceptable.” He stressed that the state government remains committed to maintaining law and order and taking strict action against those involved in criminal activities.

The Chief Minister also remarked that parents should take responsibility for guiding their children and preventing them from engaging in unlawful behaviour. Highlighting the government’s welfare and development initiatives, he said that under the leadership of Narendra Modi, development projects have been implemented over the past 12 years without discrimination on the basis of caste or religion. He added that the government’s compassion and support remain focused on ordinary citizens.
