May 13, 2026: The sudden death of Prateek Yadav has drawn major political and public attention, with Samajwadi Party leaders demanding a high-level investigation into the circumstances surrounding his demise. Questions are being raised due to his relatively young age, fitness-focused lifestyle, and the unexpected nature of his death. According to sources, his body was brought to the mortuary at King George’s Medical University (KGMU) in Lucknow for a detailed postmortem examination.
Hospital authorities reportedly formed a special panel of senior doctors to conduct the autopsy under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO). The entire procedure is also being videographed to ensure transparency. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav reached KGMU along with family members as political leaders and supporters continued to seek clarity over the exact cause of death.
Sources said doctors considered the case unusual, prompting police involvement before the body was released. A formal panchnama was carried out and the body was sent for postmortem examination. Officials have not yet issued any final medical statement, but the upcoming report is expected to determine whether the death was due to natural causes or linked to any other underlying factor.
