Air India has secured the fourth position in the global rankings of the world's most punctual airlines, according to Cirium's On-Time Performance Report for June 2026. The Tata Group-owned carrier is the only Indian airline to feature in the global top 10, highlighting significant improvements in its operational performance.
An Air India flight travelling from Delhi to Amritsar reportedly entered Pakistani airspace on the night of June 22 after experiencing a technical malfunction that affected its navigation system. Flight AI-479 departed Delhi at 9:18 pm and was scheduled to arrive in Amritsar at 10:30 pm.
