The Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Tuesday expelled eight senior leaders, including Firhad Hakim, Arup Roy, Javed Ahmed Khan, Rathin Ghosh, Biplab Mitra, Sabina Yasmin, Aroop Biswas and Snehasis Chakraborty, for allegedly engaging in anti-party activities.
The West Bengal Police on Thursday questioned former sports minister Aroop Biswas for nearly three hours in connection with the chaos surrounding the Lionel Messi India GOAT Tour event held in December 2025. According to officials, Biswas had previously skipped three summons before appearing for questioning.
