Heatwave conditions are set to continue across large parts of northwest India for the next four to five days, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) maintaining a red alert for Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. A yellow alert has also been issued for Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan as soaring temperatures continue to grip the region.
