Television actor Kishwer Merchant has shared her opinion on the recent controversy involving Lock Upp 2 contestant Akanksha Choudhary, criticizing her reaction after a minor scratch during a heated moment inside the reality show. The incident, which has been widely discussed on social media, began when fellow contestant Shreya Kalra accidentally scratched Akanksha’s face while the contestants were ordering food.

Although the injury appeared to be minor, Akanksha’s emotional response quickly escalated into one of the most talked-about moments of the season. She accused Shreya of intentionally hurting her, despite Shreya repeatedly apologizing and maintaining that the scratch was accidental. The disagreement soon turned into a heated argument, attracting strong reactions from viewers.

Reacting to the episode, Kishwer Merchant did not hold back while expressing her disappointment with Akanksha’s behaviour. In a video circulating online, Kishwer said that Akanksha had made an unnecessarily big issue out of a small injury. She criticized the contestant for shouting, arguing, and creating what she described as excessive drama over a minor scratch.

Kishwer also commented on Akanksha’s conduct inside the house, stating that she found her loud, disrespectful, and constantly argumentative. According to Kishwer, such behaviour was unnecessary and only added to the chaos within the reality show. Her remarks have since gone viral, with fans divided over whether they agree with her assessment.

The actress also appeared to take a subtle dig at the show’s hosts, Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh. Kishwer pointed out that the hosts have repeatedly reminded contestants that Lock Upp 2 is not meant to promote such aggressive behaviour. However, she remarked that almost every reality show eventually witnesses similar controversies, regardless of its intended format.

Supporting Shreya Kalra’s version of events, Kishwer emphasized that the injury appeared to be purely accidental. She suggested that the controversy could have been avoided had the incident been treated as an honest mistake rather than escalating into a personal conflict.

Following the scratch, Akanksha allegedly threatened to damage Shreya Kalra’s career and reportedly poured water on Shreya’s bed and food during the argument. Despite the confrontation, Shreya remained calm, continued to insist that the incident was unintentional, and refrained from retaliating. The clash has since become one of the season’s biggest talking points.

Host Farah Khan later addressed the issue during a task, expressing disappointment over the contestants’ behaviour and confirming that the incident would be discussed in detail during the show’s upcoming Judgement Day episode. As the controversy continues to trend online, viewers remain divided over the actions of both contestants and eagerly await the show’s official verdict.
