Sahil Goyal, the brother of Lohagad murder accused Siya Goyal, has spoken publicly for the first time, claiming that his sister genuinely intended to marry her fiancé, Pune-based realtor Ketan Agarwal, and had decided to end all contact with her alleged lover and co-accused, Chetan Chaudhary.

However, Sahil’s account differs sharply from the findings of the ongoing police investigation, which alleges that Siya and Chetan conspired to murder Ketan before his death at Lohagad Fort on June 18.

‘Siya Wanted To Spend Her Life With Ketan’

In an interview with NewsDotz, Sahil revealed that he was aware of Siya’s relationship with Chetan but insisted she had made it clear that she wanted to move on and build her future with Ketan.

According to him, Siya had repeatedly assured him that her relationship with Chetan was over.

“Siya told me that she wanted to spend her life with Ketan and didn’t want anything to do with Chetan. She assured me that there was nothing between them. She swore on her life that she would only marry Ketan and have no contact with Chetan,” Sahil said.

He added that he never informed their parents about Siya’s past relationship because he trusted her assurances.

Wedding Preparations Were Underway, Says Sahil

Sahil claimed Siya was deeply involved in planning her wedding with Ketan and was enthusiastic about the celebrations.

He said she had spent considerable time organising their pre-wedding photoshoot and frequently discussed the plans with her fiancé.

“She spent hours planning her pre-wedding photoshoot with Ketan. She picked her favourite songs and locations for the shoot. She would discuss all this with Ketan for hours on video calls,” he said.

According to Sahil, her excitement about the wedding made it clear that she wanted to move forward with Ketan.

‘She Was Confused, Not In Love’

Speaking about Siya’s relationship with Chetan Chaudhary, Sahil described it as a phase of confusion rather than a serious romantic commitment.

He said Siya herself had admitted she wasn’t certain about her feelings.

“She told me they were friends and that she enjoyed his company. She was confused about the nature of the relationship.”

Sahil said he advised her that such confusion was common at a young age.

“I tried to explain to her that sometimes people confuse friendship for love, but it’s okay. It happens at a young age. I did not tell anyone about it, as she was not sure herself. And she told me she wanted to move ahead with Ketan.”

Police Dispute Brother’s Version

Investigators, however, have questioned Sahil’s claims and maintain that the evidence collected so far presents a different picture.

According to the police, several aspects of the investigation have raised questions about Sahil’s knowledge of the events leading up to Ketan Agarwal’s death.

Investigators are examining whether he deliberately withheld information from authorities.

Police have cited the statement of a cab driver, who allegedly claimed that Sahil forced Siya to continue travelling during the trip. Investigators are also questioning why Sahil remained silent about Ketan’s allegedly torn passport and the cancellation of the couple’s planned pre-wedding trip to Bali.

Questioned But Not Named As An Accused

Police have questioned Sahil Goyal for several hours as part of the investigation.

Despite the lengthy interrogation, he has not been named as an accused in the case.

Meanwhile, Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary continue to remain in police custody over the alleged murder of Ketan Agarwal.

According to investigators, the duo conspired to kill the Pune-based realtor and allegedly pushed him off a cliff at Lohagad Fort on June 18. Police are continuing to reconstruct the sequence of events and collect digital, forensic and witness evidence as the investigation progresses.
