Raghav Chadha has broken his silence after being removed as the deputy leader of the Aam Aadmi Party in the Rajya Sabha, raising questions over the party’s decision and his role in Parliament.

In a video message shared on social media platform X, Chadha asked whether raising public issues in Parliament had become a “mistake” or a “crime.” Expressing his concern, he said that whenever he got an opportunity to speak, he focused on matters affecting the public.

Chadha further questioned the party’s move to reportedly request the Rajya Sabha Secretariat to restrict his speaking opportunities in Parliament. “Have I done something wrong?” he asked, indicating his confusion over the development.

The remarks come shortly after the AAP replaced him from the deputy leader position in the Upper House, a move that has sparked speculation about internal differences within the party. However, the party has not officially clarified the reason behind the decision.

Chadha, who has recently been vocal on issues such as public welfare and policy matters, suggested that his approach in Parliament has remained consistent, centred around raising citizens’ concerns.

The development adds a new dimension to the political narrative within the AAP, as questions continue to arise over leadership decisions and internal dynamics.
