April 10, 2026: Droupadi Murmu has nominated Harivansh Narayan Singh as a Member of the Rajya Sabha, according to a Gazette notification issued on Friday. The move comes shortly after the conclusion of his previous term as a JD(U) member from Bihar on April 9. His parliamentary journey began with his election to the Rajya Sabha in 2014, followed by a re-election in 2020. With this fresh nomination, he is set to continue playing a key role in legislative proceedings and policy discussions in the Upper House.
