Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt has joined a growing list of celebrities voicing support for students protesting over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak. As demonstrations led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) continue at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, the actress shared an emotional message on Instagram, praising the determination and resilience of students demanding a fair and transparent education system.
In her heartfelt note, Alia reflected on the emotional impact of the ongoing protests, writing, “The last few days have broken my heart and then mended it, again and again, with hope.” Her message highlighted the sacrifices made by students and their families while acknowledging the emotional and financial struggles many aspirants face in pursuit of their dreams.
The actress further emphasized that every student standing up for justice represents not only their own aspirations but also the hopes of countless families who have supported them throughout their academic journey. She wrote that behind every protesting student lies years of sacrifice, perseverance, and determination, making the movement far bigger than individual grievances.
Calling the students’ determination truly inspiring, Alia added, “Their courage humbles me. Their resolve is a mirror held up to all of us, asking whether we are truly listening to the very people who will inherit and shape this country’s tomorrow.” She concluded her statement with a message of solidarity, writing, “For the students. By the students. The future is theirs. Jai Hind.”
Earlier, actor Salman Khan also expressed his support for the student movement, describing the alleged paper leak as a serious issue affecting the future of thousands of young aspirants. In his Instagram post, Salman said he was saddened that a movement that began peacefully had reportedly turned violent and urged everyone to keep the focus on students and educational reforms rather than political differences.
The student movement has also received support from several prominent personalities across the Indian film industry. Actors including Thalapathy Vijay, Sonu Sood, Vir Das, Dia Mirza, Shabana Azmi, Prakash Raj, Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia Deshmukh, Soha Ali Khan, Aditi Rao Hydari, Huma Qureshi, Bhumi Pednekar, Rohit Saraf, Nandita Das, Naseeruddin Shah, and Amol Parashar, along with filmmaker Kiran Rao, have either expressed solidarity with students or called for dialogue and reforms. Tamil filmmaker Pa. Ranjith and singer Arivu have also extended their support to the ongoing movement.
The protests, which began over allegations of irregularities in the NEET-UG 2026 examination, continue to draw widespread attention across the country. Students have been demanding accountability, transparency in the examination process, and stronger measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
