Yash Raj Films’ upcoming high-octane action vehicle Alpha has found itself at the center of intense internet speculation. As the next big chapter in the massive YRF Spy Universe, the film introduces a historic gender flip for the franchise, positioning Alia Bhatt and Sharvari as lethal super-agents, with powerhouse Bobby Deol reportedly stepping into the shoes of the main rogue antagonist.
However, a series of viral “leaked set photos” circulating on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) has left fans questioning the authenticity of these early looks.
The online frenzy kicked off when an X account operating under the handle Shahabuddin Ahmed (SRKian) 2.0 posted heavily blurred snapshots. The user boldly claimed that the files were “first official internet-breaking leaked photos” taken straight from the highly secretive movie sets.
According to the original viral post, the images supposedly depict an epic “Empire Climax Sequence” showcasing an intense “Assassin vs. A.I.” battle between the super-agents and Bobby Deol’s rogue character.
AI Enhancement and the Credibility Question
Shortly after posting the blurred variations, the same X user shared crystal-clear, high-definition versions of the exact same images. The user openly admitted that these images were radically modified, captioning them as “EXCLUSIVE & OFFICIAL LEAKED PHOTOS ENHANCED w/ Google Gemini (Nano Banana).”
The post further detailed the alleged plot point, framing the scene as a “chase climax fight scene” pitting the female super-agents against a “Rogue Lord and A.I. army,” a script reportedly penned by director Shiv Rawail. However, the revelation that the images were “enhanced” by advanced AI tools instantly raised massive red flags regarding their overall credibility.
As of right now, there is zero professional credibility backing these images. Neither Yash Raj Films nor the actors involved have acknowledged the viral posts, leaving experts to believe that these “leaks” are entirely fake, AI-generated concept art designed to leverage the immense hype surrounding the film.
Production Delays and Promotional Push
The massive online curiosity surrounding Alpha is fueled by its highly anticipated release schedule, which has undergone multiple shifts. The action-thriller was initially slated to hit theaters in 2025 before being pushed to April 2026. Following additional post-production requirements, the current official release date has been locked for July 10, 2026.
In tandem with the leaked photos, another unverified image recently went viral showing Alia Bhatt and Sharvari allegedly on the sets of internet comedian Samay Raina’s hit show India’s Got Latent Season 2. Rumors suggest that the leading duo has already filmed a special promotional episode to kick off the marketing campaign for the film.
Alpha is directed by filmmaker Shiv Rawail, who previously earned critical acclaim for helming YRF’s hit streaming series The Railway Men. Given the studio’s strict track record of keeping set details under lock and key, fans are strongly advised to wait for official trailers before buying into social media speculation.
