The much-awaited teaser of Awarapan 2 has finally been released, marking the return of Emraan Hashmi as the iconic Shivam Pandit nearly 19 years after the original cult classic. The teaser offers a darker, more emotional and action-packed continuation of the 2007 film, diving deep into themes of loss, grief and revenge.
In the teaser, Shivam is seen riding through a bleak landscape as a voiceover hints that some stories are not meant to end peacefully. The visuals then shift to an emotional moment where he visits the grave of Aaliyah Hamid, placing a rose as a symbol of unresolved pain and lingering memories from his past.
The teaser further explores Shivam’s fractured emotional state, showing him isolated, drinking and reflecting on a life filled with trauma. He admits to surviving near-death experiences, suggesting a man who has endured immense suffering but continues to fight his inner demons.
Action takes centre stage as Shivam is later seen engaging in intense hand-to-hand combat, highlighting the violent world he is once again pulled into. The makers announced the teaser with the tagline: “The 19-year wait ends NOW. Shivam is back. You kept his story alive. Now, he returns to take it ahead. TEASER OUT NOW! IN CINEMAS 14TH AUGUST 2026.”
