The makers of Dada: The Sourav Ganguly Story have officially unveiled the first-look poster of the much-awaited biopic, featuring Rajkummar Rao stepping into the shoes of legendary Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly. Released on Ganguly’s birthday, July 8, the poster recreates one of the most iconic moments in Indian cricket history his unforgettable shirtless celebration from the Lord’s balcony after India’s historic victory in the 2002 NatWest Series final against England.

Rajkummar Rao shared the poster on social media with the heartfelt caption, “Happy Birthday our dearest Dada,” while also confirming that the film is scheduled to hit theatres on May 14, 2027. The first look has generated immense excitement among cricket fans and movie lovers alike, with many praising Rao’s striking resemblance to Ganguly in the recreated celebration.
