Hrithik Roshan’s mother, Pinkie Roshan, joins the growing criticism of Nadaaniyan, calling it ‘mindless’ but appreciating Ibrahim Ali Khan’s performance.

March 11, 2025: Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s much-hyped debut film, Nadaaniyan, has failed to impress audiences and critics alike. Now, Hrithik Roshan’s mother, Pinkie Roshan, has added her voice to the growing criticism, agreeing with a viral review that called the film ‘mindless’.

The discussion began when Freddy Birdy, a popular social media personality, posted a brutal yet humorous review of Nadaaniyan. In his critique, he stated:

“Two things immediately disqualify me from writing a review for Nadaaniyan. One, I am not in my twenties. And two, I have a brain. Having got that little detail out of the way, I liked the fact that we are slowly steering back to the mindless romantic comedy, full emphasis on being mindless.”

The review went on to compare Nadaaniyan to Student of the Year 3 and Crazy Rich Asians, mocking the film’s stereotypical portrayal of rich and poor characters. It sarcastically noted:
“Rich people might have money, but they never have happiness. Poor people have a Noida address but also have Dia Mirza as their mom and are blissfully content.”

Joining the conversation, Pinkie Roshan commented on the post, saying:
“Totally go with this hilarious review, though I loved Ibrahim Ali Khan.”

While she echoed the general sentiment that the film lacked originality, she singled out Ibrahim Ali Khan for praise, suggesting that he had some redeeming qualities in an otherwise underwhelming film.

🎭 Nadaaniyan’s Critical Backlash

Ever since its Netflix premiere last Friday, Nadaaniyan has been panned for its predictable plot, over-the-top opulence, and lack of substance. Social media has been flooded with memes and takedowns, comparing the film to a glorified fashion show rather than a well-crafted rom-com.

Interestingly, Freddy Birdy’s review also took a lighthearted jab at Ibrahim Ali Khan, saying:
“I liked Ibrahim Ali Khan because you get two actors in one: the visuals of Saif Ali Khan and the voice of Sanjay Dutt.”

📺 Is Nadaaniyan Worth Watching?

Despite the overwhelming criticism, Nadaaniyan continues to be a trending topic, with some viewers watching it just to see if it’s as bad as the reviews claim. As Freddy Birdy cheekily put it:
“Why do stunning work like Sacred Games, Jamtara, Darlings, and Delhi Crime when you can give the viewer stuff like Nadaaniyan… Watch it at your own risk.”

With industry veterans like Pinkie Roshan joining the backlash, Nadaaniyan may struggle to recover its reputation, but Ibrahim Ali Khan’s potential as an actor remains a silver lining.
