Kangana Ranaut Schools Ram Kapoor On Lock Upp 2: “Don’t Defend Yourself If You Want To Improve.”

Actor and politician Kangana Ranaut made a powerful entry into Lock Upp Season 2 as “Janta Ki Awaaz”, where she wasted no time confronting contestant Ram Kapoor over his behaviour inside the jail.

Joining hosts Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh, Kangana delivered some blunt advice to the popular television actor, urging him to stop defending his actions if he truly wanted to grow.

Kangana Ranaut Calls Out Ram Kapoor

During her interaction with the contestants, Kangana questioned Ram Kapoor’s approach to the game and his attitude towards the show.

“Ramji, you shouldn’t have taken the game so seriously. And if you think that you are too big for this jail, then why did you come here? To show your stupidity?” Kangana asked.

Ram defended himself, saying:

“When the time comes, I will own my truth as well as, or better than, anybody here.”

Kangana, however, remained firm and responded with another warning:

“Don’t defend yourself if you want to improve.”

Farah Khan Had Earlier Criticised Ram Kapoor

Before Kangana’s entry, Ram Kapoor had already come under scrutiny from Farah Khan during the show’s “chargesheet” segment.

Farah pointed out that although Ram is known for playing lead roles in his acting career, he had failed to make a strong impression inside the reality show.

“I want to ask you, in every show you do, you’re playing the lead. But after coming here, you have become a background actor,” Farah told him.

Ram Kapoor Refused to Change

Ram did not take Farah’s feedback well and appeared dismissive, even raising his hand as though to stop her from speaking.

Responding to his gesture, Farah said:

“From what I can see, I don’t want this Ram. It is not funny.”

Ram replied:

“For me, it is funny. I am the way I am, just like this.”

Farah made another attempt to explain her point, saying:

“What you are doing, this lecturing, you’re not like that at all.”

But Ram remained adamant.

“Toh nikaal do. I am not going to change. I am the way I am,” he said.

Ending the exchange with humour, Farah remarked:

“Those people who don’t change become dinosaurs.”

Ram laughed and replied:

“I will become a dinosaur.”

Lock Upp Season 2 Premiered on June 27

The second season of Lock Upp premiered on June 27, featuring a fresh batch of contestants and new twists.
