Tensions reached a boiling point on Lock Upp after Akanksha Chamola publicly confronted fellow contestant Shreya Kalra over the revelation of her bisexuality on national television. Visibly emotional, Akanksha accused Shreya of exposing a deeply personal part of her life for the sake of the game and called her the “most evil” person she had ever met.
Akanksha’s outburst came after she was saved in the latest episode of the reality show. Addressing the contestants, she alleged that Shreya had revealed information that was never shared directly with her. According to Akanksha, the conversation had taken place backstage and was overheard by Shreya, who later used it strategically during the game.
Expressing her disappointment, Akanksha said she had never witnessed someone so “heartless and insensitive.” She claimed Shreya betrayed her trust by bringing a private conversation into the competition, adding that the revelation cost her one of her lifelines in the show.
Akanksha further warned the other contestants against trusting Shreya, alleging that she could “go to any extent” to backstab people for the game. She also said she hoped time and karma would bring peace into Shreya’s life and reduce the “hatred” she believed she carried towards others.
The emotional confrontation came a day after Akanksha revealed that she had been bisexual before marrying actor Gaurav Khanna and had been in relationships with women before their marriage. She later broke down in tears after the disclosure. Despite Akanksha’s emotional reaction, Shreya did not apologise and instead stood by her decision, stating that she made the revelation purely as part of the game.
The episode has sparked intense debate among viewers on social media, with many questioning whether personal information shared outside the game should be used as a strategy inside the competition. Others defended the competitive nature of the show, arguing that contestants are expected to make difficult decisions to survive.
Meanwhile, Lock Upp also witnessed its first eviction of the season, with Shresta Iyer, sister of Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer, becoming the first contestant to exit the reality show.
