Actor Ram Kapoor had an emotional breakdown in the latest episode of Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, as the pressure inside the reality show jail began to take a toll on contestants. The actor surprised everyone when he requested host Riteish Deshmukh to eliminate him from the show, saying he felt he did not belong in the intense environment.
The drama unfolded after contestants were left with only ₹3,400 to manage food for the entire house. Instead of using the limited funds, the inmates collectively decided to go on a hunger strike, hoping the makers would intervene. However, their plan backfired as the money was eventually exhausted, leaving the house without food by the next morning.
Upset by the situation and the escalating tension, Ram Kapoor refused to participate in a task that could have helped the group earn provisions. He openly admitted that the format of the show was not suited for him. “Yeh show mere liye galat hai, main iss show ke liye galat hoon shayad… I should have not said yes to a show like this. So I need to exit this show as soon as possible,” he said.

Later, host Riteish Deshmukh addressed the contestants and questioned their decision to boycott tasks, pointing out that their choices had directly led to the shortage of food. During the discussion, contestant Akanksha Chamola blamed Ram for initiating the protest, which further added to the tension inside the house.
In response, Ram Kapoor acknowledged that he may have underestimated the show’s intensity. He admitted that he had entered the competition casually and was now realizing the seriousness of the game. “I have learnt in this one week that maybe I have made a mistake… I don’t want to project the wrong image,” he said.
The actor then made an emotional appeal to Riteish Deshmukh, requesting to be evicted immediately. “Now I know I don’t belong here… I don’t want to disrespect you, Farah, Netflix or this game by staying here, so I request you to please evict me now,” he added.
However, Riteish Deshmukh did not accept his request. Instead, he encouraged Ram Kapoor to stay in the game, reminding him of his popularity and the positive impression he has built over the years. The host urged him not to make a decision based on temporary emotional stress.
Ram later revealed that his emotional struggle stemmed from his bond with fellow contestants. He shared that being surrounded by much younger participants had made him attached to them, and he found it difficult to see them struggle without food. “I have started loving all of them… I can’t look out only for myself,” he said.
Meanwhile, Sunita Ahuja also became emotional during the episode and requested to be evicted so she could return to her family. The hosts assured contestants that their well-being would be taken care of despite the challenging format.
Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, hosted by Riteish Deshmukh and Farah Khan, continues to test celebrities through high-pressure tasks, emotional conflicts, and shifting alliances inside the jail-like setup. The show streams on Netflix at 8 PM from Saturday to Thursday.
