Actress Shilpa Shinde made an emotional revelation on the latest episode of Lock Upp, recalling one of the most difficult phases of her life following her exit from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain. Speaking to fellow contestant Varun Yadav, aka Laila, Shilpa alleged that she was harassed through a fake MMS controversy and also revealed that she entered Bigg Boss 11 only after securing bail in a criminal case she claims was filed against her.

Sharing the incident, Shilpa alleged that a journalist once sent her a video clip claiming it featured her. She admitted that the message left her terrified, as her first thought was whether it could have been a secretly recorded video from a changing room or another private space. “Ek second ke liye thandi body ho gayi meri,” she recalled while describing her immediate reaction.

According to the actress, she gathered the courage to watch the clip while sitting inside her car. Shilpa claimed the video showed a blurred image of a man and a woman, but insisted the woman was not her. She pointed out that the surroundings and the blurred figure did not resemble her and maintained that it was impossible for the clip to be genuine.

Shilpa further alleged that the journalist threatened to release the video despite her denial. She claimed she spent nearly six to seven hours at the cyber crime cell seeking help, but the clip was allegedly circulated online anyway with the caption, “Bhabhiji Ka MMS Out.” The actress said the episode deeply affected her, adding that even her family members and people around her questioned whether the video was authentic.

The actress also recalled another difficult chapter from the same period, alleging that a criminal case was filed against her before she entered Bigg Boss 11. “Main bail le ke Bigg Boss mein gayi. Socho kis level ki harassment thi mere pe,” she said, describing the legal and emotional challenges she faced at the time.

Shilpa Shinde became a household name after playing Angoori Bhabhi in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain. She left the sitcom in 2016 following a widely publicised dispute with the show’s producers before returning to the franchise with Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain 2.0 in December 2025. She later went on to win Bigg Boss 11 in 2017, and her latest Lock Upp confession has once again brought attention to the controversies she says she endured during that phase of her career.
