Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s latest film Maa Inti Bangaaram experienced its first major box-office slowdown on Monday after a strong opening weekend. The family entertainer collected ₹4.10 crore net on Day 4, marking a significant decline from its Sunday earnings.
According to trade estimates, the film’s Monday collection dropped by nearly 59.4% compared to the ₹10.10 crore net earned on Day 3. Despite the sharp fall, the movie has maintained a respectable overall performance at the box office.
Day 4 Collection Breakdown
The film earned ₹4.10 crore net across India on its fourth day, taking its total domestic net collection to ₹27.20 crore. The India gross collection currently stands at ₹31.44 crore.
Internationally, the film added another ₹1 crore on Monday, pushing its overseas total to ₹14.60 crore. With this, the worldwide gross collection has reached ₹46.04 crore.
Budget Already Recovered
Produced on an estimated budget of ₹25–30 crore, Maa Inti Bangaaram has already recovered its production cost within four days of release. The film has effectively entered the profit zone based on its worldwide gross earnings.
This milestone comes as a positive sign for the makers, especially considering the competitive theatrical environment and increasing audience preference for streaming platforms.
Weekday Performance Under Watch
While the film remains commercially successful, the steep Monday decline has raised concerns regarding its long-term theatrical run. Industry experts often view weekday collections as a key indicator of audience retention and word-of-mouth support.
The coming days will determine whether the Samantha Ruth Prabhu starrer can maintain stable collections or witness further declines during the week.
Strong Start, Crucial Week Ahead
Maa Inti Bangaaram enjoyed a solid opening weekend and has successfully crossed its budget recovery mark. However, sustaining momentum through the weekdays will be crucial for the film to emerge as a major box-office success in the coming weeks.
