Television actress Niti Taylor has opened up about one of the most traumatic chapters of her life, revealing that she was once in an abusive relationship with a former boyfriend who physically assaulted her. Speaking during a conversation with Mini Mathur, Ruhee Dosani, and Delbar Arya, the actress shared that she still carries a permanent scar from the abuse.
Recalling the incident, Niti revealed that her former partner burned her with a cigarette and later slapped her during a violent outburst. Showing the scar on her inner thigh, she said the incident happened when she was young and emotionally vulnerable. Reflecting on that phase, the actress described her ex-boyfriend as “violent” and “psychotic,” adding that she eventually decided to end the relationship after the abuse escalated.
Niti also spoke about how difficult it can be for young people to recognise red flags in relationships. She admitted that vulnerability often makes it harder to judge someone’s true character and said the experience taught her important life lessons about self-worth and walking away from toxic situations.
During the same conversation, the actress addressed rumours surrounding her marriage to Parikshit Bawa. The couple got engaged in 2019 and married in August 2020, but separation rumours surfaced in 2024. Explaining why she never responded publicly, Niti said that sometimes silence itself is the answer, adding that if there is nothing to clarify, there is no need to justify personal matters.
Niti Taylor began her acting career at the age of 15 with Pyaar Ka Bandhan and gained immense popularity through her role as Nandini Murthy in Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan. She has also appeared in popular television shows including Ghulaam, Ishqbaaaz, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, and participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10. She is currently seen on Prime Video’s reality show The Alliance, hosted by Kunal Kemmu.
