Ramayana Part 1, one of the most anticipated Indian films of the year, is reportedly set to make a major international push with a planned release in China. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the epic stars Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi in lead roles and has already generated massive excitement among moviegoers ahead of its theatrical release.
According to media reports, the makers are currently in discussions with Chinese exhibitors and distributors to secure a wide release in the country. As part of the international marketing campaign, a four-day promotional tour featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi is reportedly being planned. The tentative schedule includes a press event and special screening at the Pingyao International Film Festival on September 24, followed by a multi-city promotional tour during China’s Golden Week beginning October 1.
China has historically been a lucrative overseas market for Hindi cinema. Blockbuster films such as Dangal, Secret Superstar, 3 Idiots, Andhadhun, and Bajrangi Bhaijaan enjoyed significant success among Chinese audiences. However, in recent years, very few Bollywood films have secured theatrical releases in the country. If Ramayana Part 1 releases as planned, it could mark a major return for Hindi cinema in one of the world’s largest movie markets.
The film’s trailer is officially scheduled to launch on July 24, 2026, during a grand event in New Delhi. The announcement was recently confirmed by the makers through their official social media platforms, further increasing anticipation among fans.
Ramayana Part 1 is slated for a grand Diwali 2026 theatrical release, while Ramayana Part 2 is expected to arrive during Diwali 2027. With its ambitious scale, star-studded cast, and global release strategy, the film is expected to be one of the biggest box office events in Indian cinema.
