Ranveer Singh’s Blockbuster Film Dhurandhar To Release In Japan

After emerging as one of the biggest box office successes in India, Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar is now gearing up for its theatrical release in Japan. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the blockbuster film will hit Japanese cinemas on July 10, 2026, marking another major milestone in its global journey.

Announcing the release, Jio Studios shared a special video message from Ranveer Singh for his Japanese audience. Greeting fans with a cheerful “Konnichiwa,” the actor invited moviegoers to experience the film on the big screen. Calling it “the biggest Hindi movie of all time,” Ranveer described Dhurandhar as an immersive cinematic experience filled with drama, emotion, scale, intensity, and thrilling storytelling. He concluded his message by expressing his excitement and hoping to see audiences in theatres across Japan.

Released in India in December 2025, Dhurandhar turned out to be a massive commercial success. The film reportedly earned Rs 840.20 crore net at the Indian box office. Internationally, excluding Japan, the film also performed strongly, collecting Rs 299.50 crore gross overseas and taking its worldwide gross collection to Rs 1,307.35 crore.

The blockbuster currently ranks among the highest-grossing Indian films worldwide. Industry watchers will now be closely monitoring its performance in Japan to see whether the additional earnings help the film climb further in the all-time global box office rankings.

On the professional front, Ranveer Singh is reportedly preparing for his next project, Pralay, directed by Jai Mehta. According to reports, filming is expected to begin in September 2026, with a major schedule planned in Australia. Actress Kalyani Priyadarshan is rumoured to play the female lead, although the makers are yet to make an official announcement regarding the cast.
