Sunita Ahuja, wife of actor Govinda, broke down emotionally on the latest episode of Lock Upp, expressing her desire to quit the reality show. The emotional moment came after she complained about the quality of food served inside the house and refused to eat, saying she had reached her breaking point.
The drama began when contestants raised concerns about the meals provided in the jail. Sunita urged fellow inmates to protest, claiming they should not have to beg for food. Criticising the food, she made a controversial remark about the soup’s taste, which quickly caught the attention of viewers and sparked discussion online.
The following morning, Sunita became emotional and said she regretted not listening to Govinda’s advice against participating in the show. She revealed that Govinda had repeatedly warned her not to join Lock Upp and admitted that whenever she ignored his advice in the past, she ended up regretting it. Overwhelmed with emotion, she said she wanted to leave the competition and return home to her children.
During a breakfast task, contestants had to answer questions correctly to earn food. However, Sunita refused to participate and broke down in tears. Fellow contestant Ram Kapoor tried to comfort her as she continued expressing frustration over the conditions inside the house. She later spoke to co-host Riteish Deshmukh, who hugged her and assured her that he would speak to her after the task. Sunita eventually returned to the house after regaining her composure.
The episode also featured another candid conversation about her marriage to Govinda. When asked about previous comments regarding alleged infidelity in their relationship, Sunita said she had accepted life’s realities over the years. She added that she no longer dwells on such issues and prefers to focus on her children and maintaining her peace of mind. She also clarified that she has no interest in finding another partner.
Govinda and Sunita Ahuja have been married since 1987 and are parents to Tina Ahuja and Yashvardan Ahuja. Although reports earlier this year suggested the couple were living separately and heading for divorce, both later denied those claims. Sunita has, however, previously stated that some rumours regarding Govinda’s alleged affairs were true, while the actor has never publicly admitted to such allegations.
