The Odyssey Box Office Collection Day 2: Christopher Nolan’s Epic Nears Rs 32 Crore In India; English Version Dominates

Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey maintained a strong hold at the Indian box office on its second day in theatres. The epic action-adventure film continued to attract moviegoers across the country, with the English version recording the highest collections and occupancy.

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 15.06 crore net in India on Day 2, taking its total India net collection to Rs 31.16 crore. Meanwhile, the India gross collection has reached Rs 36.99 crore. The final Day 2 figures are expected to be updated later.

The Odyssey Box Office Collection Day 2

After a solid opening day, The Odyssey continued its successful run on Saturday.

The film collected Rs 16.10 crore net on Day 1 from 8,413 shows across India. On Day 2, it added another Rs 15.06 crore net from 6,816 shows, showing steady audience interest despite a slight drop in collections.

With two days completed, the film has comfortably crossed the Rs 30 crore net mark in India.

English Version Continues to Lead

The English version remained the biggest contributor to the film’s box office earnings.

According to Sacnilk, it collected Rs 12.58 crore on Day 2 from 3,558 shows. It also recorded an impressive 85% occupancy in several premium formats, highlighting strong demand among audiences.

The Hindi and other dubbed versions also contributed to the overall collection, although the English version continued to dominate major multiplex markets.

Occupancy Across Major Cities

The English version recorded an overall occupancy of 37.11% on Saturday.

The occupancy increased as the day progressed. Morning shows registered 24.89%, afternoon shows reached 40.56%, while evening shows climbed to 45.89%.

Among major cities, Chennai recorded the highest occupancy at 63.3% across 128 shows.

Other key markets reported the following occupancy:

  • Hyderabad: 46.3% (286 shows)
  • Pune: 41% (174 shows)
  • Bengaluru: 40.3% (426 shows)
  • Kochi: 37%
  • Kolkata: 33%
  • National Capital Region (NCR): 28.7%
  • Mumbai: 24.7%
  • Ahmedabad: 19.7%

Hindi Version Performance

The Hindi version witnessed moderate occupancy across major cities.

According to Sacnilk, Jaipur led with 20.3% occupancy, followed closely by Pune at 20%.

Other cities recorded the following occupancy:

  • NCR: 15%
  • Kolkata: 15%
  • Lucknow: 14.7%
  • Mumbai: 13.3%
  • Bhopal: 12.7%
  • Hyderabad: 9.7%
  • Ahmedabad: 8%
  • Surat: 4.3%
