Social media personality Uorfi Javed has strongly reacted to a viral video spreading false claims about her personal life, including allegations that she had changed her name and religion. The influencer dismissed the rumours outright and called out the content creator for spreading misinformation online.
The controversy began after a social media user posted a video claiming that Uorfi had no talent other than wearing bold outfits and further alleged that she had changed her name and religion. The video quickly circulated online, prompting a sharp response from Uorfi.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Uorfi clarified that the claims were completely false and emphasised that she has never changed her name or religion. She also stated that she does not follow any religion, putting an end to the speculation being circulated online.
Responding to the criticism directed at her fashion choices, Uorfi did not hold back and slammed the creator for making derogatory remarks. She defended her career and pointed out that she has worked on multiple shows, urging the troll to verify facts before spreading false narratives.
In a strongly worded message, she said, “Kaise kaise chomu log apne aap ko journalist bolte hai! Aunty please thoda homework kar lijiye, I never changed my name or religion. Also I don’t believe in any religion.” She further added that she is unapologetic about her personality and expression, saying she is “not just nangi with clothes, but also with words.”
Uorfi further criticised the creator for claiming she has no work, stating that a simple Google search would reveal her television and digital appearances. She also took a dig at the creator’s comments, saying she felt embarrassed by the content and questioned their credibility.
Concluding her response, she warned against spreading fake news, stating that while criticism is acceptable, misinformation is not. She added that she chooses not to retaliate in the same manner because “no one cares,” ending her message on a defiant note.
