Abhijeet Dipke shares emotional video as Sonam Wangchuk joins indefinite hunger strike, demanding accountability over alleged exam irregularities.
June 29, 2026: Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Sunday shared a video featuring the father of a NEET aspirant who allegedly died by suicide on June 18, criticising Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over his recent “dehshatgard” (terrorist) remark aimed at protesters. In the video, the grieving father, who travelled from Gujarat, questioned how students could be labelled as terrorists, saying his son was no different from other aspirants and deserved respect rather than accusations.
The video was released as activist Sonam Wangchuk began an indefinite hunger strike at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar in support of the CJP’s protest demanding Pradhan’s resignation over alleged irregularities in competitive examinations. The demonstration has focused on concerns surrounding transparency and accountability in the education system, particularly after controversies involving entrance exams.
The controversy escalated after Pradhan described the CJP as the “B team of disruptive elements” during an interview, accusing the group of supporting forces seeking to divide the country. Dipke strongly rejected the remarks, alleging that the minister had failed students and claiming that the education system’s alleged failures had contributed to multiple student deaths. The exchange has intensified the political debate over examination reforms and the handling of student grievances.
