Several prominent personalities from the Tamil film fraternity expressed sadness and disbelief following the news of his death.

Actor and politician Khushbu Sundar shared an emotional message on social media, describing Rajan as a respectful and honest person who never hesitated to speak his mind. She said the news was deeply upsetting and offered condolences to his family.

Actor Vishal also reacted with shock, remembering Rajan as a bold speaker and former distributors’ association president. He expressed sorrow over the tragic news and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.

Veteran actor R. Sarathkumar called Rajan’s passing a major loss to the Tamil film industry. In a statement, he praised Rajan’s long-standing contribution to Tamil cinema since the 1980s and conveyed condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.

Director Seenu Ramasamy also paid tribute, describing Rajan as a fearless and influential voice in Tamil cinema.

K Rajan’s Contribution to Tamil Cinema

K Rajan began his journey in Tamil cinema as a producer with the 1983 film Brammacharigal starring Suresh. He later directed Namma Ooru Mariamma in 1991 featuring Nizhalgal Ravi and Sarathkumar.

Over a career spanning more than four decades, Rajan worked as a producer, director, and actor in several Tamil films including Doubles, Aval Paavam, and Ninaikkatha Naalillai.

He is survived by his son Prabhukanth, who is also associated with the film industry.
