Victims from Madhya Pradesh die after vehicle catches fire near Maujpur in Alwar

April 30, 2026: A tragic accident on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway claimed the lives of five people after a moving car suddenly caught fire near Maujpur in Alwar. According to initial reports, the victims were residents of Shivpuri and were returning from a pilgrimage to Vaishno Devi when the incident occurred.

Eyewitnesses said the fire broke out अचानक while the vehicle was in motion, leaving passengers with almost no time to react. Within moments, the car was engulfed in flames, trapping all occupants inside. Passersby tried to help and alerted emergency services, but the intensity of the blaze made rescue efforts extremely difficult.

Police and fire department teams reached the spot soon after being informed, but all five passengers had died by the time the fire was controlled. Authorities are now investigating the cause of the fire, with early suspicions pointing to a possible mechanical fault or fuel-related issue. Forensic teams have been deployed, and officials are working to inform the victims’ families while reviewing safety concerns on high-speed expressways.
