National Security Adviser Ajit Doval met Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov in Moscow to discuss defence, energy, space cooperation
May 29, 2026: Ajit Doval met Denis Manturov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, in Moscow on May 28 to review bilateral cooperation between India and Russia across several strategic sectors. The discussions focused on strengthening ties in defence, energy, space and other areas of mutual interest.
During the meeting, both sides also exchanged views on important regional and global developments. The interaction comes as India and Russia continue to expand cooperation in strategic, technological and security-related sectors through regular high-level engagements.
As part of the visit, the Indian delegation was also taken to the National Space Center and the Roscosmos Joint Industry Information Centre by the Russian side. The visit highlighted the growing collaboration between the two countries in the space sector and ongoing efforts to deepen scientific and technological partnerships.
