India has presented its recent diplomatic outreach across the Indo-Pacific as a significant step toward deepening strategic and economic partnerships. The government outlined ten major outcomes covering defence cooperation, maritime security, trade, connectivity, energy security, digital public infrastructure, education, sports, and cultural exchanges.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visits to Australia on July 9–10 and New Zealand on July 10–11 come at a time when the Indo-Pacific has become a key centre of global economic and strategic activity.
