Australian authorities have launched an investigation into an alleged online threat targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of his scheduled visit to Melbourne next week, according to a report by The Australia Today.

The alleged threat reportedly surfaced on an online platform just days before Modi’s visit to Australia as part of his three-nation tour, which includes Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand.

According to the report, the Australian Federal Police (AFP) has begun examining the matter and is working to trace the source of the post, including the IP address associated with the account that allegedly issued the threat.

AFP Investigating Alleged Threat

The report said the online post allegedly contained violent language directed at Prime Minister Modi, prompting Australian security agencies to initiate an inquiry.

Authorities are currently investigating the origin of the message and assessing its credibility.

So far, Australian authorities have not publicly identified any suspect or announced any arrests in connection with the alleged threat.
