The BJP has alleged that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Robert Vadra and Saira Vadra were linked to an attempt

July 2, 2026: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday alleged that Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and her husband Robert Vadra were linked to an attempt to take possession of a four-acre land parcel in Uttarakhand. Addressing a press conference, BJP national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari claimed that the property in Kichha, Udham Singh Nagar district, is currently occupied by 90-year-old Nasreen Khan, who has alleged that she was being pressured to vacate the land. There was no immediate response from the Congress, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra or Robert Vadra.

Bhandari alleged that Robert Vadra’s sister, Saira Vadra, was trying to secure possession of the land, while accusing Congress MLA Tilak Raj Behar of visiting the property with supporters and threatening the elderly woman. Citing Nasreen Khan’s statements, the BJP leader claimed that Congress workers were attempting to help the Vadra family acquire the property after legal efforts allegedly failed. He further questioned whether Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had any role in the matter.

The BJP described the allegations as part of what it called the “Gandhi-Vadra model” of land acquisition and referred to previous controversies involving Robert Vadra. The party also accused the Congress of hypocrisy, claiming it professes to support minorities and the poor while an elderly Muslim woman was allegedly being intimidated. The Congress and the Vadra family have not yet issued a response to the allegations.
