A man’s body found inside a locked women’s restroom at Inderlok Metro Station triggers panic; police probe suicide and foul play angles.
April 26, 2026: Panic gripped Inderlok Metro Station after the body of a man was discovered inside a locked women’s restroom within the station premises. The incident came to light on Saturday evening when police received a PCR call reporting a foul smell from a restroom in the Sulabh complex. Upon reaching the spot, officers broke open the door and found the body of a man, believed to be around 40 years old, hanging inside.
According to police, the deceased is suspected to be the caretaker of the facility. An eyewitness told authorities that the man had not been seen for nearly two days prior to the discovery. The body has been sent to Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital mortuary, where it will be preserved for identification and post-mortem examination.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation, exploring both suicide and possible foul play. Officials are also trying to confirm the identity of the deceased and determine how he ended up inside the women’s restroom. Authorities said several unanswered questions remain, and further investigation is ongoing.
