Kerala chief minister-designate VD Satheesan announced his cabinet ministers ahead of the swearing-in ceremony scheduled for Monday.
May 17, 2026: Kerala chief minister-designate VD Satheesan on Sunday unveiled the names of ministers who will join his cabinet during the swearing-in ceremony on Monday. Senior Congress leaders Ramesh Chennithala, Sunny Joseph and K Muraleedharan are among those set to take oath as ministers.
The new government also announced key Assembly positions, with Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan chosen as Speaker and Shanimol Usman named Deputy Speaker.
Meanwhile, the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), a major ally of the Congress-led alliance, declared its ministerial nominees for the new cabinet. Party chief Panakkad Sadik Ali Shihab Thangal announced the names of P K Kunhalikutty, N Shamsuddin, K M Shaji, P K Basheer and V E Abdul Gafoor as ministers in the incoming government.
