Arrest comes months after a violent attack on Wastik; police investigation is ongoing
April 25, 2026: Saleem Wastik, an ex-Muslim content creator, was arrested by Delhi Police on Saturday. Officials have not yet released detailed information regarding the charges or circumstances of the arrest, and further updates are awaited as the investigation continues.
The arrest comes months after Wastik survived a brutal knife attack in February at his home office in Ghaziabad. According to police reports, two unidentified helmeted men allegedly entered his residence-based workspace in Ashok Vihar Colony in Loni and attacked him with knives, leaving him critically injured before fleeing the scene.
One of the accused was later killed in a police encounter in March, while investigations into the broader case remain ongoing. Wastik, who runs multiple YouTube channels and identifies as an “Ex-Muslim” on his primary account, has not had any officially confirmed motive established in connection with either the attack or the current arrest.
