Congress leader Digvijaya Singh has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to release a white paper on paper leaks

June 5, 2026: Congress leader and Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education chairman Digvijaya Singh has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding a white paper on alleged paper leaks and examination irregularities in National Testing Agency (NTA)-conducted exams over the last eight years. He said the move would help restore confidence among students and ensure transparency in handling such cases.

Singh raised concerns following the cancellation of NEET-UG 2026, saying the absence of a consolidated public record on paper leaks and action taken has created confusion and speculation. He pointed out that students continue to face uncertainty due to repeated examination controversies and lack of clear official data.

The Congress MP urged that the white paper should include details of investigations, arrests, charge sheets, and case statuses, along with actions taken by agencies like the NTA and CBI. He also referred to multiple past irregularities in competitive exams, stating that systemic issues within the NTA have persisted over the years and need urgent accountability and reform.
