Two men accused of assaulting CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke were welcomed by supporters after securing bail

June 17, 2026: A fresh controversy has emerged in Jaipur after two men accused of assaulting Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke were greeted with garlands and slogans following their release on bail. Videos circulating online show the accused being welcomed outside a police station amid chants of “Jai Shri Ram,” “Inquilab Zindabad,” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.” The visuals quickly went viral, triggering intense debate across social media platforms.

The incident stems from an alleged assault on Dipke during a student protest held at Jaipur’s Shaheed Smarak on June 15. The demonstration was organised to demand accountability in the NEET paper leak case, education reforms, and solutions to rising unemployment. Witnesses claimed Dipke was being carried by supporters toward the protest venue when two men allegedly approached him, grabbed his scarf, and slapped him multiple times. The attackers were later detained after being overpowered by members of the crowd.

Reacting to the incident, Dipke reiterated his commitment to non-violence and said the attack would not deter his activism. Drawing inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi and Dr B.R. Ambedkar, he described the assault as a cowardly act and urged his supporters to remain peaceful. Dipke also appealed to his followers to stay focused on the issues raised during the protest and avoid any form of retaliation.
