The Uttar Pradesh government is set to expand the NIPUN Bharat Mission beyond its current focus on Classes 1 to 3, bringing students up to Class 5 under its foundational learning programme.
A day after leading a protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar over alleged irregularities in the education system, Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke issued a seven-day ultimatum to the Central government. Dipke said the movement would intensify if Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is not removed from office or does not step down within a week.
