Political clash escalates as BJP questions Kejriwal’s lifestyle, AAP counters with allegations of pressure tactics

April 25, 2026: A political face-off has intensified between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), with BJP leader Harish Khurana launching sharp criticism against Arvind Kejriwal. Khurana alleged that Kejriwal, who once projected a simple and modest image, is now residing in a lavish “seven-star” bungalow, claiming excessive public money was spent on its decoration, which he described as “Sheeshmahal Part Two.”

Khurana further pointed to the exit of several prominent AAP leaders, including Ashutosh and Kumar Vishwas, along with some recent MPs, suggesting internal instability within the party. He argued that these developments reflect growing dissatisfaction and a widening gap between the party’s stated ideals and its functioning.

In response, AAP dismissed the allegations and accused the BJP of misusing investigative agencies to target opposition leaders. The party described it as a “washing machine” tactic, alleging that pressure is being exerted on leaders to switch sides. The exchange highlights the ongoing political tensions between the two parties ahead of key electoral battles.
