Popular educator and YouTuber Faisal Khan, widely known as Khan Sir, is set to move a Patna court seeking anticipatory bail after being named in an FIR related to a vandalism and firing incident at his coaching institute in Bihar’s capital.

According to his lawyer, the educator will file an anticipatory bail petition before the Patna civil court when proceedings resume after the weekend.

Lawyer Alleges FIR Is Part Of A Conspiracy

Representing Khan Sir, advocate Arvind Kumar Mahuar claimed that the FIR was lodged as part of an attempt to tarnish his client’s reputation.

“The FIR has been registered against him as part of a conspiracy to defame him,” Mahuar alleged.

The development comes days after Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Kartikeya Sharma confirmed that Khan Sir had been named in a case linked to vandalism at the premises of Khan Global Studies Institute.

Background Of The Incident

The controversy stems from an incident that took place on Tuesday night when a group of around 15 to 20 individuals allegedly damaged property outside the coaching centre.

According to police, the group reportedly tore down posters belonging to the institute and pelted stones at the premises, triggering panic in the area.

Following the incident, police detained two security guards employed by the coaching centre. The guards are accused of opening fire during the disturbance.

Investigators are examining whether the firing was intended as a warning or if it endangered public safety.

‘Retaliatory Action’ Linked To Rival Coaching Centre Case, Says Lawyer

Mahuar claimed that Khan Sir’s inclusion in the FIR was a retaliatory move after staff members from his institute lodged a separate complaint against the director of another coaching centre.

“Khan Sir has been named in the FIR as part of a retaliatory measure because his staff had registered a case against another coaching centre’s director,” the lawyer said.

He further clarified that his client has no plans to surrender before the police and will instead seek legal protection through anticipatory bail.

“He will not surrender and will file an anticipatory bail petition before the court,” Mahuar added.

No Direct Charges Against Khan Sir, Defence Claims

The educator’s legal team has also questioned the basis of the allegations, arguing that available evidence does not support direct involvement by Khan Sir.

Citing videos and photographs from the incident, Mahuar maintained that the security personnel fired shots into the air purely as a precautionary measure.

“Based on videos and photos of the incident, it is clear that the guards fired shots in the air for safety purposes. No one was injured,” he said.

The lawyer also alleged that Khan Sir’s name was included in statements recorded during the investigation solely to implicate him in the case.

“There are no actual charges against him. His name has been inserted in the disclosure statement to implicate him,” Mahuar claimed.

Bail Petition Likely On Monday

Since courts remain closed over the weekend, Khan Sir’s legal team is expected to file the anticipatory bail application on Monday.

The case has attracted widespread attention due to Khan Sir’s popularity among students across India through his coaching classes and educational content on social media platforms.

Meanwhile, police investigations into the vandalism and firing incident are continuing, with authorities expected to examine CCTV footage, witness statements and forensic evidence before taking further action.
