A major discrepancy in the Re-NEET UG 2026 examination process has come to light after a candidate from Nagpur was reportedly assigned an examination centre in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, due to an apparent error in the admit card issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
The incident has sparked concern ahead of the Re-NEET UG 2026 examination, which is scheduled to be conducted on June 21.
Nagpur Candidate Shocked To Find Abu Dhabi Exam Centre
The candidate, Abdullah Mohammad Talib from Nagpur, discovered the issue after downloading his Re-NEET UG 2026 admit card from the official NTA website. Instead of being allotted an examination centre within India, his admit card reportedly listed an Indian school in Abu Dhabi as the venue for the test.
According to reports, Abdullah had submitted his application from Nagpur and expected to receive a test centre in India. The unexpected allotment created a significant problem, as the student reportedly does not possess a passport, making international travel impossible.
A screenshot of the admit card showing the Abu Dhabi examination centre quickly circulated on social media, drawing widespread attention and raising questions about the examination authority’s verification process.
NTA Acknowledges Technical Glitch
Following the discovery of the error, the matter was brought to the attention of NTA officials.
According to reports, the agency acknowledged the issue and attributed it to a technical glitch during the admit card generation process. NTA officials reportedly assured the candidate and his family that corrective measures would be taken immediately.
Sources close to the family said that NTA has communicated via email, assuring them that the error will be rectified and a revised admit card with the correct examination centre will be issued.
The agency is expected to release the corrected admit card before the examination date.
Candidates Advised To Verify Admit Card Details
The incident has prompted authorities to remind candidates to carefully review all information mentioned on their admit cards, including:
- Personal details
- Examination centre information
- Roll number
- Reporting time
- Examination instructions
Candidates who identify any discrepancies are advised to immediately contact NTA through the official helpline channels to avoid complications on the examination day.
