May 12, 2026: Following the cancellation of the NEET-UG 2026 examination, National Testing Agency (NTA) Director General Abhishek Singh said the revised examination schedule is expected to be announced within the next seven to 10 days. Speaking in Delhi, Singh said authorities are currently working on preparing a fresh timetable for the national-level medical entrance examination.
The NEET-UG 2026 exam was cancelled after allegations of a large-scale paper leak surfaced across multiple states, triggering investigations by law enforcement agencies. The controversy led to growing concerns among lakhs of medical aspirants regarding transparency and fairness in the examination process.
NTA officials said the revised schedule and other related details, including admit cards and examination arrangements, will be communicated through official channels once finalised. The agency has urged students not to panic and assured that steps are being taken to conduct the re-examination in a secure and transparent manner.
