May 3, 2026: As election fever grips the country, illegal betting markets are gaining momentum, offering their own predictions on poll outcomes. The Mumbai satta bazar has become active ahead of results in five states, presenting projections that differ from many exit polls. While surveys indicate gains for the Bharatiya Janata Party in several regions, betting trends suggest a more complex electoral picture.

In West Bengal, the satta market indicates a strong performance for the BJP, projecting 175–185 seats, well above the majority mark. The Trinamool Congress led by Mamata Banerjee is estimated to win 127–132 seats. In Tamil Nadu, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam appears set for a comeback with 145–155 seats, while actor Vijay’s party is expected to make a modest debut.

Elsewhere, the BJP is projected to dominate in Assam, while Puducherry could see a close contest between rival alliances. In Kerala, the United Democratic Front is predicted to edge ahead of the Left Democratic Front. These betting trends, though unofficial, reflect shifting political expectations and add another dimension to the high-stakes election narrative.
