New Delhi has been placed on high alert following intelligence inputs regarding a possible terror threat, prompting heightened security measures across the national capital, according to official sources.
Security agencies, including the Delhi Police, have intensified surveillance and vigilance at several sensitive and high-footfall locations across the city.
Security Tightened at Key Locations
Sources said additional security personnel have been deployed around the Bharatiya Janata Party headquarters on Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg and nearby government establishments. Barricading, vehicle checks, and anti-sabotage inspections have also been strengthened.
Intelligence alerts reportedly warned of possible threats involving:
- Suicide attacks
- Vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (IEDs)
- Coordinated shootings
- Attacks targeting crowded public areas and prominent offices
