Opposition leader raises concerns over leadership clarity and repeated government changes
April 24, 2026: Tejashwi Yadav launched a sharp attack on the NDA government during the Bihar Assembly floor test, questioning the circumstances behind the current political arrangement. Speaking in the House, he said the situation could have been avoided if the Bharatiya Janata Party had declared its chief ministerial candidate earlier, arguing that there would have been no need for a special session to prove majority.
Referring to campaign slogans backing Nitish Kumar, Tejashwi claimed the BJP had undermined his leadership. He remarked that while slogans projected Nitish Kumar’s return, the BJP would not allow him to continue as Chief Minister. His comments led to disruptions in the Assembly, reflecting the tense political atmosphere during the proceedings.
The Rashtriya Janata Dal leader also raised concerns about political instability, pointing out that Bihar has seen multiple government formations in recent years. Taking a swipe at Samrat Choudhary, he referred to a shift from an “elected” to a “selected” Chief Minister, intensifying the political attack on the ruling alliance.
